Born to engineer parents in a southern Albanian town, I grew up amidst rolling olive fields and fragrant lemon trees. Winter days had me exploring my mother's laboratory, surrounded by beakers and strong, remarkable women. Summers by the seaside fueled my curious mind.

At 10, post-Albanian war, my family sought a brighter future in Toronto, an immigrant tale with its share of challenges. I left behind family embraces and tree-climbing adventures for an unfamiliar landscape. Youth and a new climate brought lasting eczema and acne battles. After trying countless products unsuccessfully, I turned to my mother, a cosmetic chemist, for help. Inspired by nature and armed with scientific knowledge, we created effective skincare solutions. These products symbolized care for friends and family and a shared desire to heal.

Everyday Chemist represents my journey bridging two worlds—hot Albanian summers and icy Toronto winters, a European upbringing and a bustling metropolis, nature's embrace and scientific discovery. I continue to blend these realms with boundless curiosity. Everyday Chemist reminds us that 'home' is wherever we find ourselves.
